Free Hoop Dance Advice from HOOPLOVERS

Hooping is HOT in Atlanta! I am so excited about the upwards moment of hooping in Atlanta. I love facilitating such a huge movement and seeing others take the hooping love and pass it along to others by gifting adult hoops and teaching hula hooping to their friends. I want to share with you someone who inspires me beyond measure. I’ve  shared with you many of Deanne Love’s tutorials on this blog and by word of mouth in class. You may sign up to receive email alerts for when each new lesson is uploaded.

HOOP JAM 10/17

***Save the date***

Atlanta Streets Alive!

Sunday, October 17

Hoop Jam with HoopEssence from 2pm-4pm in Woodruff Park

Hoops will be provided!!! Bring your own if you wish & a beverage to keep hydrated.

Have you seen this amazing event called Atlanta Streets Alive? Here is some info from their website about the event.

“Imagine a street full of people of all ages and backgrounds, walking, biking, creating and laughing, together. A street temporarily closed to cars, but open to people. Imagine residents safely enjoying their city, socializing with neighbors, and engaging in healthy activities. Imagine if all of this were free, with absolutely no barriers to participation. By the people, for the people. Sound good yet?

ASA takes a valuable public space – our city’s streets – and opens them up for people to play, walk, bike, breathe, and make their own.

Modeled on tremendously successful events from around the world, including Bogotá, Colombia’s Ciclovia; Paris, France’s Paris Plage; and San Francisco’s Sunday’s Streets, ASA is part bike tour, part block party, and a great time for getting active, supporting local businesses along the route, people watching, and enjoying our amazing city! Building on the success of the May event, the next Atlanta Streets Alive is planned for Sunday, October 17 from 1-6PM. ”  – Atlanta Streets Alive http://www.atlantastreetsalive.com/

Check out the video from the last event! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpdK0V1Eh50&feature=player_embedded

I attended the first event and we had a blast hooping in the park. I have been asked by the event manager to host a FREE HOOP JAM!!! I am really excited to facilitate hooping and share the joy with all of Atlanta. I will be hosting the hoop jam in Woodruff Park from 2pm-4pm on Sunday Oct 17th. Please join me! I hope to see all of my students there along with the curious, new friends and faces. I will have a limited quantity of hoops to share , feel free to bring your own if you have any. This is a fun event for all ages to enjoy. Come play in the sunshine and take a break from your long commute, computers, televisions, videos and everyday stress of life! Sometimes we are so caught up in the daily hustle that we forget the simple moments in life, the wind blowing through the trees, flowers blooming, sun shine …..I found this excellent article from one of my favorite daily websites, http://www.dailyom.com/articles/2010/25233.html, on just that. It is full of inpsiration to nurture your body and mind. The article really rings true to my life, especially lately with my schedule being so incredibly full!

Feel free to contact me for further info. Hope to see you there!
